Get up offa that thing for Remembering James: The Life and Music of James Brown. Coming to the Jarson-Kaplan Theater on October 9.
Remembering James: The Life and Music of James Brown tells the story of the Godfather of Soul – Mr. James Brown. Starting with his early days, the show spans nearly two decades of what would become a monumental career. You’ll see how a divided country, the growing Civil Rights movement, and the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. shaped the artist’s work. Accompanied by an eight-piece band, this show brings the passion and music alive while offering a message of hope to a grief-stricken nation looking for a moment of healing and celebration.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
As we welcome you back to the Aronoff Center and Music Hall, the health and well-being of our audiences, staff, volunteers, and artists remains our number one priority. In cooperation with the resident arts organizations at our venues, we have implemented layers of defense against COVID-19, including the Health and Safety Guidelines listed below. Due to the high levels of COVID-19 transmission in Hamilton County and the surrounding area, all guests, staff, and volunteers are required to wear masks at all times in our venues, regardless of vaccination status. This policy is effective immediately and until further notice. In addition, beginning September 13, 2021, ticket holders 12 years of age and older will be required to show a proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for entry into the Aronoff Center and Music Hall. Requirements for children under 12 years old will be determined by each of our venue’s resident companies. In addition, specific health protocols and procedures may vary by organization.
