Yin Yoga is a practice of surrender that only requires stillness and softness. Yin targets deep connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, and joints. It is a slower practice and more meditative offering space to turn inward and tune into both mind and body.
Poses are held for longer periods of time while focusing on the breath and can open energy blockages in the body releasing energy. It is the perfect balance to intense exercise and more Yang styles of yoga such as Hatha, Vinyasa, or Power Yoga.
Yin Yoga when practiced regularly can increase flexibility, lengthen and strengthen connective tissues, boost circulation and reduce stress levels.
