I graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2003, where I studied Illustration, Fine Art and Art History. After school I worked as a graphic designer at the Columbus Museum of Art before moving to SRA/McGraw-Hill in 2006. I’m currently a freelance graphic designer and adjunct instructor at CCAD where I teach design, figure drawing and art history courses. I also try to exhibit my artwork in at least one show a year.

I’m inspired by the way that humans, throughout history, have used myth, folklore and storytelling as a means to reconnect with the natural world. We have a habit of personifying animals in order to be able to relate to them on our level. But I’m also inspired by the exploration of the natural world using scientific methods; historical as well as modern.
