Program description

Although slavery existed and thrived in America, not all Americans support it. In fact, many brave individuals broke the law and helped to guide runaway slaves to freedom in Canada. In this program, students hear the stories of daring Underground Railroad conductors, including Sojourner Truth, John Parker, Harriet Tubman, Peg-Leg Joe, John and Jean Rankin, and many others who risked their lives
