The Weston Art Gallery welcomes artist Mary Jo Bole with her exhibition, Family White Elephants.
Bole (Columbus, OH) is a collector and researcher seeking the underbelly of her part of the world. In her recent drawings, prints, sculptures, and an upcoming first-person documentary film, she explores her family’s industrial history and the lineage of women who preserved it. Bole is a product of a faded Victorian culture experienced in an equally fading Cleveland; her experiences are filtered through the counter-culture and the punk scene from her youth and Lake Erie.
The opening reception for Family White Elephants will be held on Friday, November 18th from 6-8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The exhibition runs through January 15, 2023. Please note that the gallery will be closed with holiday hours for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day weekends.
