Art After Dark: On the Fringe

The Cincinnati Fringe Festival kicks off during Cincinnati Art Museum’s Art After Dark. Live music, preview performances, specialty cocktails and after-hours access to the entire museum, including No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man.

Experience an early sneak peek of Know Theatre’s 2019 Cincinnati Fringe Festival at the Cincinnati Art Museum’s FREE evening event Art After Dark: On the Fringe, Friday, May 31, 5–10 p.m.

Enjoy live music from Sarah Asher, Scooben Von Duben, Large Mouth Brass Band Erin Ward and Nick Koehlke, performances from Cincinnati Fringe Festival actors, food for purchase from Eli’s BBQ, salads from Dewey’s Pizza and Graeter’s Ice Cream (while supplies last), and after-hours access to the entire museum including free admission to special exhibition No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man.

The Cincinnati Fringe Festival enters its 16th iteration on Friday, May 31 and runs through June 15. Cincy Fringe hosts a wide range of new and established local, national and international productions in a dozen venues across Over-the-Rhine.     

The timeline for Art After Dark includes:

  • 5:00–6:00 p.m.: Happy hour on beer, wine and cocktails. Guests 21+ only.
  • 5:00–9:00 m.: Interact with Cincinnati Fringe Festival performers in the galleries.
  • 5:00–10:00 p.m.: Food available for purchase from Eli’s BBQ, Dewey’s Pizza and Graeter’s Ice Cream. While supplies last.
  • 5:00–10:00 p.m.: Guests may complete a survey for a chance to win 4 tickets to Kimono: Refashioning Contemporary Style and a Cincinnati Art Museum canvas pouch.
  • 5:30 p.m.: Live music from Sarah Asher in the Alice Bimel Courtyard.
  • 6:00 p.m.: Live music from Scooben Von Duben featuring Pones in the Alice Bimel Courtyard.
  • 7:30 p.m.: Live music from Large Mouth Brass Band in the Alice Bimel Courtyard.
  • 8:45 p.m.: Live music from Erin Ward and Nick Koehlke in the Alice Bimel Courtyard.

PARKING INFO

Parking: FREE. Bike Racks are available outside the Main Entrance of the Art Museum. Hook up to one of our Marcel Duchamp-inspired racks during your visit! Accessible Parking is available in our north parking lot, just past the main visitor parking lot and entrance. Wheelchair + Stroller Entry is available via our DeWitt Entrance, on the east side of the museum, near the accessible parking. Access to the Mary R. Schiff Library + Archives is available via our Castellini Foundation Entrance, just to the right of the main entrance on the west side of the building.
