October 2019 Featured Artist Diana Marra brings her exhibition “Art and Photography Near and Far” to the Sharonville Cultural Arts Center.

Diana Marra’s lifetime love of art and experiences in the beauty of nature have culminated in a focus on Animals, Botanicals, Landscapes, and new ventures into Abstracts painted in the ancient art of Chinese Brush Painting. A member of the Sumi-e Society of America, Diana draws from her experiences in science with her career at Formica Corporation and in global travel (including but not limited to Belize, China, Cozumel, Hawaii, Ireland, Scotland, and the Mediterranean) to create stunning photographs and paintings both traditional and fused with a modern flair for color. Diana has been teaching and lecturing on painting since 2014. Her students have ranged from age 5 to 85 in all skill levels. She is currently teaching in Tuscany.
Art and Photography Near and Far debuts at the Westheimer Gallery on Friday October 4th with our FIRST FRIDAY Opening Reception event. The exhibition continues through Saturday October 26. Diana will also be offering a ticketed class, Introduction to Asian Brush Art, on Wednesday October 16 (see separate class event for details).

PARKING: Parking is available in the SCAC lot at the corner of Reading Rd and Walnut St, on our building's south side. Additional free public parking is available in City of Sharonville lots, located around the corner on Walnut behind Cliff Hardware, as well as behind PNC Bank at Reading Rd and Creek Rd.
DIRECTIONS: From I-275: Take exit 46 to Lebanon Rd (US-42). Head south on US 42. Stay to the right on Reading Road. Turn right at Walnut Street.
From I-75: Take exit 15 to head east on Sharon Road. Follow to the left onto Main Street (one-way). Turn left on Walnut Street.
