Art North 2020

Art North 2020, the SCAC’s annual year-end juried art competition, returns for its fourth year.

Art North 2020 returns to the SCAC’s Westheimer Gallery for our 4th annual year-end juried competition! This year’s exhibition features our largest number of displayed pieces and participating artists ever, in a wide variety of media including paint, collage, textiles, sculpture, and photography.

This year’s juror is artist Ray Hassard. Learn more about Ray at www.rayhassard.com.

Join us for a socially-distant FIRST FRIDAY celebration and Awards Ceremony on Friday November 6 from 6-9pm (Gallery open 11/6 from 3-9pm). We will be hosting the party outside in a covered and heated environment to maintain safe distancing, and restricting the number of visitors inside the gallery at one time. Please come prepared to wear a mask and follow COVID-19 precautions, and stay home if you or someone in your household is sick.

The awards ceremony will be live streamed on our Facebook page for access during and after the event.

The Westheimer Gallery is Free and open to the public.

Art North 2020 runs Friday November 6 – Saturday December 19.
Public gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays 3-7pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm (Closed Thanksgiving weekend Nov 26-28).

PARKING INFO

PARKING: Parking is available in the SCAC lot at the corner of Reading Rd and Walnut St, on our building's south side.  Additional free public parking is available in City of Sharonville lots, located around the corner on Walnut behind Cliff Hardware, as well as behind PNC Bank at Reading Rd and Creek Rd.

DIRECTIONS:  From I-275: Take exit 46 to Lebanon Rd (US-42). Head south on US 42. Stay to the right on Reading Road. Turn right at Walnut Street.
From I-75:  Take exit 15 to head east on Sharon Road. Follow to the left onto Main Street (one-way).  Turn left on Walnut Street.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Info regarding how this event is being affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.:

The SCAC closely monitors and complies with current local, county, and state COVID-19 guidelines. Our first priority is the safety of our guests and staff. First Friday will be held in an indoor/outdoor, covered and heated environment to permit proper social distancing between parties. We will be restricting the number of visitors inside the gallery at one time and maintaining traffic flow and periodic disinfecting of surfaces throughout the event. Please come prepared to wear a mask and observe precautions as directed, and do not attend if you or someone in your household is or has recently been ill. The awards ceremony will be live streamed on our Facebook page and will take place around 8pm during the event. If you cannot attend, tune in to our page for a live look at the winning entries as they are announced! The video will remain on our page after the event for viewing.
