Visit the Boone County Library for a weekend featuring Cincinnati artists!
Join us at the Main Library on Saturday, September 28 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday, September 29 from 1:30 – 3 p.m. when dancers, actors, musicians and poets perform free for everyone! Performances and demonstrations from several Cincinnati artists and arts organizations will be featured throughout this weekend.
ADMISSION INFO
There is no charge for this event. The only ticket distribution will be as part of the Cincinnati Opera's Opera Express. Performances will be 12:30, 1, 1:30, and 2 p.m. Tickets will be distributed next to the Opera Express in the parking lot the day of the performance. Each of these performances is limited to 30 people per session.
All other events are first come, first serve. All demonstrations and performances, with the exception of the Cincinnati Poet Laureate, will be in the second floor meeting rooms. The Poet Laureate has a yet-to-be-determined location within the building.

Saturday, September 28
11 a.m-Noon - Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra: Time Traveling Strings. The Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra string trio leads you through a program that highlights the evolution of music with a quick survey through music history!
12:30, 1, 1:30, and 2 p.m. - Cincinnati Opera Express. The Opera Express show is a 15-minute performance full of opera favorites such as "The Barber of Seville," "The Pearl Fishes," and "La Traviata." There will be four of these mini-performances during the two-hour period. *please note, each of these performances is limited to 30 people per session*
3-4 p.m. - Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's professional Touring Company presents the best of the Bard's sonnets, scenes and monologues from classics like Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth.
Sunday, September 29
1:30-2 p.m. - Cincinnati Poet Laureate: Manuel Iris. Current Cincinnati Poet Laureate Manuel Iris will read his own poetry and answer some of questions you may have about the writing process and his own inspiration as a poet.
2-3 p.m.- Cincinnati Ballet: Professional Training Division. You will have the opportunity to see Cincinnati Ballet's In-step, an interactive 50-minute program featuring members of Cincinnati Ballet's professional training division. The dancers provide a peek into the day in the life of a professional dancer and perform excerpts from the Company repertoire!
