Begineer Screen Printing in One Color

Course description

Learn the basics of screen silk printing in one color and create one piece with paper or contact paper stencil and one piece using photo emulsion process. Prints can be on paper (provided; or student can bring notecards, etc.) or fabric (student provides: bag, T-shirt, etc.).

Creation of art for a paper/contact paper stencil and photo emulsion

Prepping a silk screen for printing

Creation of stencils and how to adhere them to screens

Preparation of screen with photo emulsion

Transfer of art to screen via photo emulsion process

Prepping set up and ink for printing

What type of paper and/or fabric to use (how to prep fabric)

Printing!!

Clean up
