Canstruction® 2023
For the first time since the pandemic, Canstruction® returns to the Weston Art Gallery!
Organized by the Cincinnati chapters of the American Institute of Architects and the Society for Design Administration, Canstruction® is an international design/build competition of the architecture and engineering industry that unites the love of design, art, creative thinking, competition, and public service. Local teams of architects, engineers and designers from firms and universities across Cincinnati race to build whimsical sculptures created entirely from canned and packaged food. After the event, all building materials will be donated to the Freestore Foodbank.
Online donations are accepted at www.freestorefoodbank.org/canstruction.
An Awards Gala Reception will be held on Friday, May 19 from 5-7pm in the Fifth Third Bank Theatre. Tickets are available at http://cincinnaticanstruction.org/.
The Canstruction® design will be created on May 16, open to the public at 2p.m. that day, and will remain on display through June 4, 2023.
