Classical Roots

Presented by Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at Music Hall, Cincinnati OH

Apr 20 2018
Classical Roots

Join us for an uplifting celebration of African-American musical heritage, featuring the CSO and the Classical Roots Community Mass Choir.

From 1937 to 1956, Music Hall was home to the Greystone Ballroom—the most popular entertainment destination for Black Cincinnatians. Legends such as Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie and Marian Anderson have all performed on Music Hall’s stages. Join us as we celebrate the rich history of the hall and our city.
