Join ish at Krohn Conservatory for a del-ish-us celebration of the Moroccan & Mizrachi Jewish Holiday of Mimouna.
Mimouna is a celebration, traditionally held by North African Jews from Morocco & the Maghreb, to celebrate the end of Passover. A joyous community gathering, Jews break bread, eat sweets, and enjoy traditional culture, often with non-Jewish neighbors.
On Saturday, April 30, join ish as we celebrate this under-represented tradition, which combines the beautiful culture of North Africa, people of many different backgrounds, music, color, and del-ish-us foods.
We’re dedicated to celebrating, not appropriating, diverse Jewish traditions. Our planning committee, featured artists, and experience design will uplift the voices of North Africans, Jewish People of Color, and inspire our community to learn more.
This evening of celebration serves as a major fundraiser for the 2023 ish Festival.
