Discover Magic

Discover Magic is a performance-based program that teaches valuable social skills, all while having fun! Kids learn magic tricks and how to perform in front of an audience. Students receive a magic kit with props for magic tricks, access to Discover Magic online resources, and full-color folders that describe the positive character traits of a magician. This is a $40 value that has been included in the price of the class.

During each class, students will get step-by-step instructions on how to perform easy and basic tricks using their props.  They will gain confidence in how to speak in front of an audience. On the last day of class parents and friends will be invited to a magic show where students will demonstrate the fun and exciting things they have learned.

Classes are divided into Part 1 & 2 of different Wands: Purple, Green, Orange, and Blue. Purple Wand is the first and Blue Wand is the final class.  Students can progress through each wand. It is suggested that students begin with Purple, then Green, Orange, and lastly Blue. They may join Purple, Green, or Orange out of order as long as they began with Part 1 of the session. The Blue Wand is only for those that have completed at least two Wand series. Take all the Wand series and become a Magic Expert!

ArtsConnect offers an online option for those not ready to do in-person classes yet.  We will have a camera set up during class so students can join the class from their homes. Participants will need to download the free program- Zoom prior to the beginning of the session.  The instructor will email students an invitation link each week. Supplies for the class will be available for pick up the week before the sessions begin.

When registering for the class you will need to select which method of participation you want:  in-person or online.
