Fall For Dance

Fall for Dance is DE La Dance Company’s yearly opening dance series. This series offers a compelling mix of contemporary and classical ballet works. Cincinnati native Anna Leithart has choreographed a beautifully compelling and exciting new contemporary work, Willing Spiritcreated during the Covid shutdown and seen for the first time, live. Also on the program is Co Artistic Director, Mario de la Nuez’s Elegy in Light, a soulful introspective work consisting of four distinctive sections representing different human emotions with music by Chopin, Tristano and Ligeti. Lastly, the classical ballet, La Bayadere, Kingdom of the Shades. This classic work is one of choreographer Marius Petipa’s supreme masterpieces, particularly the scene from the ballet known as The Kingdom of the Shades, one of the most celebrated pieces in all of classical ballet.
