"From Fire to Table"

“From Fire to Table” features artists who create ceramic artworks, such as center pieces, serving dishes or vases to be put to use for a delicious brunch. For the beginning of this show, the ceramic artworks will be displayed on tables placed throughout the gallery. On the morning of Saturday March 18 diners seated at the tables will share a brunch served amidst these fired artworks. At the end of the brunch, diners will be invited to purchase pieces directly from the table. Concurrent with “From Fire to Table” is “Art for Food,” an exhibition presenting works of art created around the concept of food. This exhibition features artworks by Keith Benjamin, Carmel Buckley, Charlie Goering, Chris Hammerlein, Lori Larusso, and Maggie Lawson.The wide range of ceramic tableware on display in “From Fire to Table” includes sculptures by University of Cincinnati BFA students and seasoned ceramists Tracy Featherstone, Chris Hammerlein, Jean-François Paquay, Jinblossom Kim Plati, Shinji Turner-Yamamoto, Xia Zhang, and Clémentine Vaultier, among others.
