The Westheimer Gallery’s April 2022 Exhibition features the jazz-inspired paintings of Grace Haggard.
The Westheimer Gallery at the Sharonville Cultural Arts Center is pleased to present the art of Grace Haggard in her solo exhibition, The Color of Music, for April 2022!
Grace is an Environmental Safety Specialist working for the City of Cincinnati, but her true love is painting with a musical flair! She is also one of our 2nd place Juror’s Choice Award winners during Art North 2021 this past November.
“I started painting and drawing as a child. My mother was a breast cancer survivor, and to cope with her stress she would draw and paint while listening to jazz greats. I would sit and watch her trying to copy her.
I have always enjoyed all kinds of art and music. But my favorite music is jazz, which is why jazz is a strong theme in my artwork. It wasn’t until after I was facing some job-related stress 9 years ago, I picked up a pencil to see if I could still make art. The rest is the future.” -Grace Haggard

PARKING: Parking is available in the SCAC lot at the corner of Reading Rd and Walnut St, on our building's south side. Additional free public parking is available in City of Sharonville lots, located around the corner on Walnut behind Cliff Hardware, as well as behind PNC Bank at Reading Rd and Creek Rd.
DIRECTIONS: From I-275: Take exit 46 to Lebanon Rd (US-42). Head south on US 42. Stay to the right on Reading Road. Turn right at Walnut Street.
From I-75: Take exit 15 to head east on Sharon Road. Follow to the left onto Main Street (one-way). Turn left on Walnut Street.
