The astounding Hagen Quartet was founded in Salzburg during 1981 by four siblings: Lukas, Veronika, Clemens and Angelika (who left in 1987). Its members are teachers and mentors at Salzburg’s Mozarteum and Basel’s Hochschule für Musik.
The astounding Hagen Quartet was founded in Salzburg during 1981 by four siblings: Lukas, Veronika, Clemens and Angelika (who left in 1987). Its members are teachers and mentors at Salzburg’s Mozarteum and Basel’s Hochschule für Musik. In January 2018, they opened the Amsterdam Concertgebouw’s First Biennial String Quartet Festival and will travel to Berlin, London, Frankfurt, Florence, Vienna, Munich, Hamburg, Paris and three recitals in Tokyo. It has taken Chamber Music Cincinnati nearly a decade to present the Hagen Quartet in Cincinnati.
