Art reflects life, even in its most tragic moments. Using a Broadway style, John Adams’ I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky tells the stories of seven characters—each battling an inner demon—whose lives are thrown into chaos by the devastating 1994 Northridge, California earthquake.
