Katherine Colborn, Hiding Places, 2021, oil on shaped panel, metal hinges, 12” x 18”
The Weston Art Gallery welcomes artist Katherine Colborn with her exhibition, Sheltering in Smoke.
In an effort to counter feelings of distance, upheaval and anxiety, Katherine Colborn (Cincinnati, OH) employs painting as a means of quiet resistance. Through her intimate paintings, she reflects upon transience and domestic life, protected spaces and themes of threshold and sanctuary.
The opening reception for Sheltering in Smoke will be held on Friday, January 20 from 6-8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The exhibition runs through March 5, 2023.
Please join us for Katherine Colborn’s Gallery Talk on Wednesday, February 22 at 7 p.m.
