Kids Digital Art and Animation

Kids learn how to bring drawings to life through digital animation.  During the first several classes, students will brainstorm ideas and draw characters. They will then create simple digital characters and animate them using open-source software.  Students should have access to a Windows-based laptop that they can bring in for the last 3 classes.  If the laptops already have animation software then they may use what is installed.  Otherwise, they will learn how to install free and safe open-source animation software designed for kids.

Classes will be held at ArtsConnect, 9158 Winton Rd in Springfield Township. ArtsConnect is the building directly behind the Springfield Township Fire Station and Administration building.
