Maximizing Micro-Stories and Minimizing Missed Opportunities

from Paul Strickland of 90 Lies an Hour

Everyone has a story, but how can you tell your story in a way that anyone will care? This workshop is a two-pronged approach to improving your skills in storytelling. In this workshop we:

1. Examine how interesting anecdotes can be combined for a story-worthy pay-off, and
2. Learn how to identify loose-ends and missed opportunities in your writing, both on the sentence-level and the story-level, and evolve those missed opportunities into moments that engage your audience by drawing them further into your message or making them laugh out loud.

Sun, Jun 9 @ 12:00PM-2:00PM
Art Academy 103 (A103)
This class has a $20 suggested donation but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
