Moonlight Movie Night

ArtsConnect and the Powell Crosley Jr. YMCA brings the excitement of Halloween festivities and outdoor big screen movies to Springfield Township! Enjoy free family activities and a not-so-scary movie under the stars on our huge, 16 ft inflatable screen.  Admission is free, however donations are greatly appreciated to keep events coming!

PLAN A: (Good weather, outdoors)

The movie will begin around 7:30 p.m. (when it is dark enough to see the movie)
Concessions available for purchase – popcorn, hot dogs, pop, bottled water, ice cream and light up necklaces
What to wear and what to bring:

This will be a Halloween event, so costumes are welcome and encouraged!

Families are welcome to bring food and drinks. Alcohol can NOT be brought in due to the liquor licensing on the township campus. (Concessions, including hot dogs, popcorn, snacks and  pop will be sold at the events.)

It would be a good idea to bring a flashlight. (It will be dark when you leave after all!)

Bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on.

PLAN B: In Case of Bad Weather
Rain information will be made at noon on Friday, Oct 29 and will be posted on this web page at the top.

If weather prevents outdoor activities, the following plan will be in place:

Trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, games and free coffee & hot chocolate will be held in the Arts Center from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Please no early admission. We will need time for proper set up and volunteer training.)

The movie will take place at The Grove Event Center. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. The movie will begin at 7:30 p.m. *Screen is large, but not 16 ft. Movie will be projection.

In this plan, the hay maze and fire pit will be cancelled.

Concessions will be available for sale – hot dogs, popcorn & bottled water. Kids can sit on the floor or with their family in chairs. Children and those without vaccines are asked to please wear masks while indoors, except when eating.
