Musically Macabre Showcase: The Addams Family (Grades 6 - 12)

Presented by Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati OH

Jun 05 - 09 2023
Musically Macabre Showcase: The Addams Family (Grades 6 - 12)

Join us for this One-week Performance Academy at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park!

They’re creepy and they’re kooky — meet the Addams family! In this upside-down world, learn that to be sad is to be happy, to feel pain is to feel joy, and that creepiness is the stuff of dreams. Through a selection of songs and scenes, campers will follow the story of the musical as the Addams family face up to the one horrible thing they’ve managed to avoid for generations: change. Classes in singing and dancing — plus an extended rehearsal and performance class — will get you ready for your “altogether ooky” Showcase at the end of the week.

Tuition is $350 per child and can be purchased on the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park website. There will be no refunds given after May 24, 2023, for all June camps and June 23, 2023, for all July and August camps. Cancellations before the refund deadline will be honored with a full refund, minus a $25 administration fee.

Convenient parking is available in the Playhouse garage and can be reserved in advance by calling the Box Office. Garage parking is $8.50 in advance for subscribers and $10 for single ticket buyers and at time of performance (if available). Accessible parking for those with disabilities is located in front of the Playhouse’s main entrance, as well as in the Playhouse parking garage. These spaces are limited and must be reserved and paid for in advance. All vehicles using these spaces must display a valid disability sticker. If you prefer to find free parking on surrounding streets, please allow plenty of extra time. Limited free parking is available (where marked) on streets surrounding the Playhouse. Eden Park officially closes at 10 p.m. As a grace period to the Playhouse and its patrons, the police will not ticket vehicles until one half-hour following the end of a performance. The Playhouse assumes no responsibility for anyone receiving a ticket for illegal parking. We also remind you to lock your car and refrain from leaving any valuables visible inside your vehicle.
