Painter Nate Flanagan returns to the Westheimer Gallery with a new solo exhibition, May 7 – 29, 2021.
Nate Flanagan returns to the Westheimer Gallery in May 2021 with his newest exhibition, Observations. Nate is a Hamilton-based oil painter who specializes in plein aire (outdoor painting from life), and we are thrilled to have him with us again this year!
From the Artist:
“For my show Observations, I wanted to explore and observe everyday subjects I came across in the past year. I explored some seemingly mundane objects or scenes and found the beauty in them. Over the year I spent a lot of time indoors and focused on interior paintings, such as “Sam in the Studio” or “Flowers by the Window,” and also focused on the landscape that I love. I enjoyed getting paintings ready for this show, and really learned a lot from not worrying about the subject, just observing what it was that I was looking at. Almost all the paintings in this show were painted from life, which is my preferred method of painting, and I felt the title to my show was fitting for that reason.”

Observations runs through Saturday May 29.
Westheimer Gallery exhibits are open to the public Thursdays and Fridays 3-7PM, Saturdays 10AM – 2PM, or by appointment.
COVID-19 precautions are observed. Masks are required at all times indoors at the SCAC.

PARKING: Parking is available in the SCAC lot at the corner of Reading Rd and Walnut St, on our building's south side. Additional free public parking is available in City of Sharonville lots, located around the corner on Walnut behind Cliff Hardware, as well as behind PNC Bank at Reading Rd and Creek Rd.
DIRECTIONS: From I-275: Take exit 46 to Lebanon Rd (US-42). Head south on US 42. Stay to the right on Reading Road. Turn right at Walnut Street.
From I-75: Take exit 15 to head east on Sharon Road. Follow to the left onto Main Street (one-way). Turn left on Walnut Street.
