Cincy Music Series presents the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in concert Saturday, January 13, at Princeton High School’s Matthews Auditorium.
Celebrating their 50th anniversary together, the iconic and profoundly influential Nitty Gritty Dirt Band — often cited as a catalyst for an entire movement in Country Rock and American Roots music — continues to add to their legendary status.
With multi-platinum and gold records, strings of top ten hits such as “Fishin’ in the Dark” and “Mr. Bojangles” and multiple Grammy, IBMA and CMA awards and nominations, the band’s accolades continue to accumulate.
About The Cincy Music Series: The Cincy Music Series presented by the Greater Cincinnati Performing Arts Society provides financial assistance to families in need who wish to attend Catholic elementary schools and provide a values-based education for their children throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. We do this through a series of concerts featuring Grammy nominated and award winning performers from a wide range of genre and styles — rock, jazz, bluegrass, folk and more.
