A work in progress performance of How to Build a Flying Machine, featuring puppetry, gadgetry and possibly lift-off (definitely crashes).
Join Northside-based MoonBull Studio as we share work-in-progress performances of our newest show: How to Build a Flying Machine. This original work explores the Wright Brothers’ unique approach to solving an impossible problem. Be part of the inventive process as we take risks to get this show off the ground. A series of three Flight Tests around Northside will bring contemporary puppet theater to Cincinnati audiences in an accessible, exploratory production. Each Flight Test will cover new terrain so come to one or all to witness the creative and engineering process unfold.
Engage with our artists and the good folks at Happen, Inc. and Word Play to reflect on this unique style of puppetry performance and its themes of flight, ingenuity and can-do-attitude.
Northside Flight Tests are supported by the thousands of people who give generously to the ArtsWave Community Campaign, and by the Jim Henson Foundation and the Puppeteers of America Rose Endowment Fund.
