Photo Scanning for Black Residents of Findlay Market & Surrounding Neighborhoods

Presented by The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County and Findlay Market at Findlay Market, Cincinnati OH

May 15 - 22 2022
Photo Scanning for Black Residents of Findlay Market & Surrounding Neighborhoods

Collecting moments that celebrate the everyday impact of Black folks throughout Cincinnati’s history for a future art exhibition.

We deserve to preserve our memories so that we can honor our history and tell our stories honestly.
We’re asking past & present Black residents of Over-the-Rhine, West End and Findlay Market to bring your historic and family photos, letters, and ephemera filled with memories of the neighborhood to be digitized and returned to you on the spot by the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library! Digital files will be given to participants as a flash drive and images will later be included in an upcoming art exhibit at Findlay Market celebrating our impact on the neighborhood.
Limit 25 photos per participant.
