ArtsConnect offers private piano lessons for all ages.
ArtsConnect has hired Mr. Bomin Park, who is a concert pianist, teacher, and arranger, to teach private piano lessons for the public. Mr. Park began his piano studies at the age of six. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the University of Nevada, Reno where he also received the Dean’s award for Performance and Artistry. He came to the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, to continue his study. There he earned the Master of Music (MM) degree and is currently pursuing his Doctoral of Musical Arts (DMA) degree with Professor James Tocco. Mr. Park is a graduate assistant to Professor Tocco
Mr. Park has won awards in many international and national competitions including the Paderewski International Piano Competition in Farmington. He has also played famous venues such as Carnegie Hall, Nightingale Hall, Werner Hall, Watson Hall, and the Nevada Governor’s Mansion.
As a piano teacher, Mr. Park is enthusiastic about teaching students. He has been teaching for more than 13 years and has taught all age groups from children to adults.
Besides classical music, Mr. Park enjoys playing other genres of music. While he served in the Korean Navy Band for two years, 2013 to 2015, he performed multiple genres of music including jazz, pop, rock, and traditional. His enthusiasm for jazz has inspired him to start his ongoing Doctoral project, “Classical Meets Jazz.” The intent of this project is to introduce classical music to new audiences. Mr. Park will do this through a program of paired original classical compositions with his own side-by-side jazz arrangements.
