In this workshop, you will learn about the symbolism of traditional pysanky eggs, and create your own patterns.
Pysanka, which means “to write,” is a traditional Ukrainian folk-art form that uses a wax-resist method of dyeing eggs. In this workshop, you will learn about the symbolism of traditional pysanky eggs, and create your own patterns. Use styluses to melt beeswax and draw designs on hollow goose eggs. Dip the eggs into a wide range of dyes to create endless patterns. At the end of the project, watch the wax melt away to reveal your designs
