Artists re-envision traditional holiday tales from a contemporary perspective in an outdoor exhibition of works incorporating lighted elements, in partnership with the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
For a fresh take on the holiday season, Kennedy Heights Arts Center in partnership with the Art Academy of Cincinnati presents Retold, an outdoor exhibition of holiday stories “retold” with a present-day lens. The exhibition features 10 diverse artists, all Art Academy alumni or staff, who have been commissioned to create new works that also include lighted elements.
Artists examine and re-envision traditional winter folktales, fables, or stories from a contemporary perspective. This free outdoor exhibition can be viewed as a drive-through experience, or guests can park and explore it on foot, daily until 9pm from December 4-31. With the inclusion of light elements on each of the panels, each artwork will have a different experience during the day versus at night.
Exhibiting artists include: David Michael Butler, Sea Dax, Matthew Dayler, Claire Flath, Caleb Francis, Sydney Greene, Jordan Hallworth-Zermeno, Kelly Stevens, Savannah Vagedes, and Dai Williams.
