The Tale of the Artful Dodger, by Jim Horton

The Artful Dodger, better known as Jim Horton, has reason to be excited about painting, for he enjoys sharing the beauty and the fun that surround us.  His artistic eye finds character in objects that, at one time, would never have caught his interest; and subjects for his artwork now run the gamut from Nature’s beauty to antiques and matters of historical note.  On an occasional whim, Jim creates a clash of realities, sure to bring a smile to the face of everyday people who expect the normal but recognize an imaginative twist.

Allan M. Winkler is Distinguished Professor of History at Miami University in Ohio.  He has also taught at Yale University and the University of Oregon and, for one year each, at the University of Helsinki in Finland, the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands, and the University of Nairobi in Kenya.  A prize-winning teacher, he is author of ten books of his own.
