The Southwestern Ohio Symphonic Band opens its 2023-24 season at Miami Middletown with a free holiday concert featuring a premier of David Shaffer’s “Viva Noel!” The concert starts at 2:30 pm on Sunday, December 3.
The Southwestern Ohio Symphonic Band presents their FREE concert, “Viva Noel,” on Suday December 3, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Miami Middletown Campus. This concert will feature music to kick off the holiday season, including “Three Jazzy Kings,” “Highlights from Disney’s Frozen,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” Sleigh Ride,” among other selections. The SOSB will honor those that served with “The Pathfinder of Panama March.” The Whirlwind Trio will also be featured with some holiday selections. Finally, Mr. David Shaffer will take to the podium to premier his new arrangement, commissioned by the band, entitled “Viva Noel.” A light reception with Santa will follow the concert.
