ETC’s 2021-2022 Professional Acting Apprentice Company presents this reimagined Chekhov classic by Aaron Posner!
Set squarely in the bustle of 21st-century life, this irreverent, contemporary, and very funny remix of Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece The Seagull celebrates the complexities of love and art, success and failure, and our enduring ability to survive them all. Dev loves Mash, but Mash loves Con, who loves Nina. But Nina is infatuated with Trig (who’s infatuated right back). The problem is Emma loves Trig . . . and she’s Con’s Mom! And, well . . . you can imagine! Does losing your heart mean losing your mind and losing your dreams? What determines free will: you or the person who writes your story?
