The outdoor exhibition, Sun Boxes, is an environment to enter and exit at will. Cloud patterns create original compositions as they pass overhead.
Craig Colorusso has been exploring the intersection of sound, light, and space through sculpture since 2000. His works have been at the forefront of merging light and sound into a sculptural form of experiential art. He will bring two of his cutting-edge works to Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum this summer.
The outdoor exhibition, Sun Boxes, is an environment to enter and exit at will. This imaginative show is comprised of twenty speakers operating independently, each playing a single guitar note powered by the sun via solar panels. Cloud patterns create original compositions as they pass overhead. The melodic sounds envelop the audience to create a calming and transformative experience enhanced with programs such as sunrise yoga and an open jam session with local musicians.
CUBEMUSIC is a sound installation made from aluminum, guitar, and light that will transform the Museum Gallery into an otherworldly environment of light and sound. This indoor exhibition will coincide with the outdoor show to offer visitors an expansive exploration of light and sound as an artistic medium.
