The Alligators of Prisoners' Lake

Ludlow native and award-winning author Rick Robinson will discuss his book, “Alligator Alley,” which he calls “a coming-of-age novel for people that never came of age” during the virtual NKY History Hour at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20.

James Conrad has turned 50, and like many, is looking back over his life and struggling to make his way to his future. His reminiscences, especially those of his great uncle Gator, take him from a Seminole reservation in the Florida Everglades to a Devou Park lake constructed from a stone quarry by prisoners from the Covington Jail in the early 1900s.
