The Art of Chaos: Framing the Joy of Circus

Photograph and design by Matt Steffen

Youth Circus performers take to the ring to showcase their amazing circus and clown skills including unicycling, gym (German) wheel, physical comedy, juggling, hooping, and balance skills such as rolling globe, rola bola and tightwire.

My Nose Turns Red (MNTR) is a non-profit arts organization in the Greater Cincinnati area dedicated to youth circus. Every year MNTR provides training and performance opportunities for youth in the art of the one-ring circus and the theatrical clown. We believe that youth circus is a magical blend of theatre, movement, physical fitness, imagination, and childlike wonder. From beginners’ classes to advanced performance programs, MNTR provides a safe arena for young people to take risks and challenge themselves.

After 24-week circus classes, youth from all of our programs come together to perform, demonstrating their perseverance, couragousness,  and sheer determination!  Come and celebrate youth circus!
