A musical journey of the Sweet Singer of Israel—the Chazzan.
From cantorial recitatives and European innovations to Yiddish folk and contemporary art song—Cantors David Lipp, Jen Roher, and Yvon Shore present a concert to highlight the musical journey of the Sweet Singer of Israel—the Chazzan. The performance will include selections from the rare manuscripts of the esteemed Birnbaum Collection housed in the Klau Library of HUC-JIR.
