The Life, Times, and Impact of Charles Dickens

Brown Bag Luncheon Lecture: Dept. 56 collector Dave Somerwill discusses how Charles Dickens impacted Victorian England’s society through his many novels.

Behringer-Crawford Museum’s extensive holiday display of Charles Dickens Dept. 56 ceramic collectibles is the backdrop for this presentation by collector and Dickens expert Dave Summerwill, who will discuss how Dickens impacted society from Victorian England to today through his many novels such as “A Christmas Story,” “A Tale of Two Cities,” “David Copperfield,” “Oliver Twist” and others.
