Richard Hague, award winning author of Studied Days: Poems Early and Late in Appalachia reads his essay, “Buddies: Two Stay or Go Stories” and Barlow Adams, Rita Coleman, Pamela Hirschler, Dale Marie Prenatt and Chuck Stringer share new poems exploring life in and out of the complex region we know as Appalachia. Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel is the literary journal of the Southern Appalachian Writers Cooperative, published in cooperation with Dos Madres Press, and support from the Ohio Arts Council.
