The world premiere of Kile Smith’s new concert-length oratorio, Canticle.
The music of composer Kile Smith, most recognizable to choral fans for his monumentally successful work Vespers, has been hailed as “almost preternaturally beautiful” by critics. Craig Hella Johnson lends
his distinctive style to Canticle, Smith’s new major concert-length work. Be onhand for the World Premiere
of Canticle as VAE uses its magnificent sound to break new artistic ground right here in Cincinnati.
(This program will also be performed 8pm Saturday, April 30 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Lakeside, KY.)
