Salon 21 is proud to collaborate with Wayside Winds, featuring Annie Gordon, Austin Smith, Laura Sabo, Emily Toth, Danielle Batchelder, and Salon 21 Artistic Director Jill Jantzen. The night’s music will highlight music for winds and piano, including Francis Poulenc’s famous sextet. At the premiere of this work, critics designated it as “wandering and vulgar.” After extensive revision, Poulenc’s Sextet now stands as an iconic piece for this type of ensemble.
