Join YPCC’s virtual choir project – an online community choir experience that is open to all members of the community.
Do you love to sing? Sing in a choir? Do you miss the feeling of lifting your voice up in a group with others? You’re invited to participate in Sing Out @Home, a virtual community choir project that is open to all members of YPCC’s extended community (that means YOU!).
As we’ve stated before, connecting people is at the heart of everything YPCC. And as you know, connecting people in-person is not the right thing for our community right now. We miss getting to share a round of drinks, swap stories, and lift our voices up together, and we know that now, more than ever, it is important to feel connected to your community.
While we are all in the midst of a lot of unknowns and dealing with the always-changing landscape that COVID-19 has created, we sincerely hope that this project gives you a sense of connection to our musical community – something that you might be missing right now.
Welcome to Sing Out @ Home! Don’t know what a “virtual choir” is? Here is an example. Just as the day-to-day situation with COVID-19 is always evolving, so too is this project. How can you join? Find out more here. All you will need is a way to record yourself singing the musical selection for this project. Sheet music is available for download and there are several “virtual rehearsal” opportunities to join. All submissions are due on Tuesday, April 14th.
