A fun, interactive music program for audiences of all ages. Cellist Nat Chaitkin pairs live performance and excerpts from recorded pop songs to show how all music works the same way, while sharing funny stories from the music world and his own experiences working at the White House as a member of the Marine Band! Praised by the Washington Post for his “engaging flair and commitment,” cellist Nat Chaitkin has played recitals broadcast on Radio Canada and at the National Gallery of Art, as well as recorded for Albany Records. Born and raised in New York City, Nat studied at the Juilliard School and the University of Michigan, as well as the Tanglewood and Salzburg Festivals.

A former member of the “President’s Own” U.S. Marine Chamber Orchestra and the Grand Rapids Symphony, he also taught at Georgetown and Michigan State University. In 2012, he was awarded the City of Cincinnati’s Artist Ambassador Fellowship for his work in bringing concert music to underserved audiences. He is also the founder of 4-Way, Cincinnati’s community-based string quartet.
