Dillsboro Arts Friendship Gallery: A place for artful conversation. Drop in to talk about beginning an art practice, or you have been creating for years and you want to talk with others that understand your struggle to find the next big idea, or the joy you feel when capturing that just right line, the light on water or in the eye of your model, whatever those ahha moments are for you. Maybe you wrote a song and want to try it out on a friendly audience. Or that short story or poem you’ve been working on is taking shape and you would like some input. And maybe, like me, you are just feeling overwhelmed with the state of the world and you want your voice through your art to be heard. Or sometimes you just need a quiet place to enjoy the feeling you get in a freshly painted, well lit space with art carefully arranged to lead your eye and spark ideas. We are creating a place for that conversation.
