The Juneteenth Festival is a weekend event, commemorating the end of American slavery. This event helps to promote cultural awareness and strengthen ties across communities. Saturday includes a wide variety of activities including music and dance performances, historical interpreters, and educational activities. Sunday is a Father’s Day concert of inspirational music The 2016 Festival will be held on June 18-19 in Daniel Drke Park.
