Visionaries and Voices

Established in 2003, Visionaries + Voices is a non-profit organization that provides exhibition opportunities, studio space, supplies, and support to more than 125 visual artists with disabilities. V+V artists actively contribute to the greater arts community through creative, educational, and strategic partnerships with local and regional artists, schools, and business  leaders. Collectively, we are growing a more inclusive arts community in Greater Cincinnati.

MISSION The mission of Visionaries + Voices is to provide artistic, cultural, and professional opportunities for artists with disabilities.

VISION  We create a world in which artists with disabilities not only produce and share works of art, but are also given continuous opportunities to learn, develop professionally, collaborate, exhibit, and celebrate with community members.

Geometric Musical Forms with Diamond Snowden

Program description

Students will create an abstract collage based off of music and sound. While looking at V+V Teaching Artist, Diamond Snowden's work, students will think about how sound can affect color, shape and line. Students will use brightly colored papers to cut abstract + geometric forms to create a unified composition on painted canvas board. Session can take place at your shool or organization OR at Visionaries + Voices!
