Visionaries and Voices

Visionaries and Voices

Established in 2003, Visionaries + Voices is a non-profit organization that provides exhibition opportunities, studio space, supplies, and support to more than 125 visual artists with disabilities. V+V artists actively contribute to the greater arts community through creative, educational, and strategic partnerships with local and regional artists, schools, and business  leaders. Collectively, we are growing a more inclusive arts community in Greater Cincinnati.

MISSION The mission of Visionaries + Voices is to provide artistic, cultural, and professional opportunities for artists with disabilities.

VISION  We create a world in which artists with disabilities not only produce and share works of art, but are also given continuous opportunities to learn, develop professionally, collaborate, exhibit, and celebrate with community members.

Glow in the Dark with Diamond Snowden

Program description

Students will explore and brainstorm as a group different things in the natural world that glow – Lightening? Bugs? The Sun? We will look at work created by Visionaries + Voices artists in response to a group “Glow in the Dark” show. After, students will create their own paintings with V+V Teaching Artist, Diamond Snowden, that glow under black light or in the dark depicting something that GLOWS.
