Oxford Community Arts Center aims to ENRICH lives and build community by providing, celebrating and promoting a diverse array of cultural and arts programming, performances and exhibits; carefully PRESERVE the historic Oxford College building and campus as a welcoming  environment offering classroom, studio, rehearsal, concert, theatre and meeting spaces; and ENSURE the Center’s ability to serve future generations as a catalyst, connector and magnet for emerging and established artists, performers, students, visitors and arts organizations.

After School Art

Program description

The After School Art (ASA) program seeks to develop opportunities for children aged 6 to 12 years, in which creativity and visual problem solving is experienced in a safe, positive, interactive environment that fosters and encourages self-expression.

Meet professional artists! Create your own original works of art! Drawing, Painting, 3-D Sculpture! Collage, murals, masks, still life and figure drawing! Themes focus on environment, architecture, nature, people, movement, literature, machines, seasons, world cultures and artists. Buses are provided from the Talawanda district elementary schools and McGuffey Montessori. Parents pick the children up at the Arts Center at 5:30 pm. Field trips & supplies included in class fee.
