Sculpture Dedication: Baroque Trajectory, 2001

Sculpture Dedication: Baroque Trajectory, 2001

Presented by Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum at Fitton Center For Creative Arts

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is excited to be partnering with Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and City of Sculpture to present Baroque Trajectory by Ohio artist Michael Poast. The sculpture replaced Hatched Baby by artist Wolfgang Auer and was installed outside the Fitton Center on September 2, 2016.

Baroque Trajectory was initially installed on July 2001 in the Trinity Plaza in Lower Manhattan. Trinity Plaza was just a few blocks from the Twin Towers and the piece endured the destruction but was damaged from the tragic attacks on September 11, 2001. A team of artists from Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park restored the piece and had it displayed at the park for a few years. Baroque Trajectory will now be on display outside the Fitton Center for the upcoming year.

A sculpture dedication for Baroque Trajectory will take place on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:00pm at the Fitton Center Monument Avenue Forecourt. The dedication is free and open to the public and will feature the artist Michael Poast.
